Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the
position of Storekeeper I in the University Dining Services department.
Primary Job Duties:
Receives and inspects shipments for compliance with both delivery documents, purchase order specifications and processing receiving
documents. Tags, labels, etches, or marks for identification all supplies, materials, and equipment received. Fills store requisitions for
issuing supplies, materials, and equipment. Routes and/or delivers supplies, materials, and equipment to designated locations. Ensures
inventory levels by conducting physical inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment. Keeps work area in a clean and orderly manner.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of related work experience required. Must have
working knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Serve Safe Food Handler Certification required within 3 months of hire.
Working knowledge of
the procedures and practices of issuing and storing supplies, materials, and equipment. Ability to perform basic mathematics; to communicate
effectively both orally and in writing; to follow directions; to operate warehouse material handling equipment; to operate computers and
other standard office equipment; to perform extensive standing, walking, and climbing; to lift, transport and stock assigned supplies and
materials; to wear and work in personal protective equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
This is a full-time, non-exempt, State
position with a full benefits package. Starting pay will be $16.19 per hour which is approximately $33,675 annually with a 2.5% increase
after satisfactorily completing a six-month probationary period for new hires and internal promotions. The primary hours for this position
are Monday-Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm; however, there are occasional night/weekend hours based upon the needs of the University. This position
is also considered essential meaning the position is expected to report for work in emergency situations such as extreme weather conditions
when the campus may be closed.
