Position Overview

Administrative Support for the RCoB Dean’s Office including, but not limited to the three Assoc. Deans. Duties to including Purchasing, Payroll, Space Management, data gathering, and report generation. Serves as the Building Representative for the BLB.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and five years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced written communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple

tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.

  • Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex

nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.

  • Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments


  • Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and


  • Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned

function.Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

Job Duties

Acts as a backup to independently initiate general correspondence and process forms regarding procurement of IT equipment, software, and the BLB.

Purchasing coordinator for BLB facility. Stays abreast of purchasing procedures and insures compliance of College purchases with UNT policy.

HR coordinator for BLB student workers and processes ePARs for BITS employees and students.

Building representative for the Business Leadership Building. Attend and actively participates in all regular building rep meetings and activities. Reports and follows-up on all building related situations to Facilities.

Space Survey verification/data entry annually-processes space requests to repurpose non-classroom space in the BLB. Provide backup for annual Inventory verification.

Project financial needs for course related equipment and supplies. Develops HEF budget requests for building modification requests and furniture.

Maintain confidentiality on all issues discussed and known within the scope of position.

Provides administrative support for Associate Dean for Assessment & Academic Reporting.

Provides administrative support for Academic Associate Dean for Graduate & Undergraduate Programs.

Maintain college level credentialing records for adjunct faculty.

Complete monthly Pcard review as reconciler. Stay abreast of UNT System Pcard rules. Provide education to college Pcard holders, faculty, and staff as needed.
