JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The School of Public
Affairs is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant. This opening is 24 hours per week. The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday
through Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Fridays. Work will be performed in-person, on-site at Penn State Harrisburg
Campus.
Job Duties
- Greet/refer/assist students, faculty, staff, and guests.
- Answer
phones. - Perform general clerical duties including mail processing, typing, and photocopying.
- Assist with special projects
throughout the academic year. - Assist the administrative staff, as needed.
- Operate standard office machines and
equipment.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Reserving rooms and event planning
- Prepare documents, reports, and
promotional materials. - Compile and organize records.
- Schedule meetings and take minutes.
- Provide backup support for
other administrative office staff. - Assist with other duties as assigned.
Requirements and
Qualifications

- Typically requires a High School
diploma or higher plus two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Excellent
communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. - Must be detail-oriented and able to manage time-sensitive projects
independently. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
