Florida A&M University’s Office of Human Resources is pleased to accept qualified
applications for the position of Human Resources Generalist.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible
for assisting with records management administration, including oversight of active and inactive personnel files and records within the
specific area within the Office of Human Resources (OHR); This position reports to the Associate Director, Human Resources; Responds to
public records requests from the Division of Legal Affairs; Ensure request(s) are forwarded to the proper delegated authority and give
appropriate access to information, ensuring compliance; Review and determine the disclosure requirements and exemptions of records to
include appropriate redactions; Sets up and reviews document records systems to include ensuring compliance with the university retention
and disposal schedules; Advises on new record management policies, providing a framework in the management of records and use of the
employer’s records system; and manages the changeover from paper to electronic records management systems; Handles employee information with
strict confidentiality, recommends to supervisor improvement opportunities or changes to current processes to ensure efficiency, and
provides all paper and electronic records within the assigned area are maintained, managed, and stored correctly; Performs other duties and
responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor and ensures compliance with university regulations and policies, state and federal
policies and laws.

Minimum
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency and four years of related experience; or bachelor’s
degree in appropriate area of specialization.

proficiently Microsoft Office Suite products (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) including
Outlook.

Anticipated Salary Range

The hiring
salary is $42,000.00.

Pay Plan

This is an
USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.

Conditions of
Employment

Successful candidate is subject to a pre-employment screening which includes a review of
criminal records, reference checks and verification of education. An official college transcript, a high school diploma, or other
educational documents must be submitted, where applicable, at the time of employment.

Only United States (U.S.) citizens
or aliens who have a legal right to work in the U.S. are eligible for employment. Federal law requires proof of your authorization to work
in the United States. You will be required to provide proof of your identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of
employment.

Section 110.1128, Florida Statutes, prohibits employment by the State (including re-hire after a break in
service) of any male born after October 1, 1962, who failed to register with the Selective Service System, under the provisions of the U.S.
Military Selective Service Act, during the person’s period of eligibility (ages 18 through 25). Additionally, if currently employed by the
State, this law prohibits the promotion of such person. You may be required to provide
documentation.
