Job Description Summary / TWC Summary
Under direct supervision assists with the processing of employee and position data into the HRIS system for the University.
Essential Duties Summary
- Enters employee data into ePAFs.
- Enters position data from PR forms.
- Assists with verifying accuracy and quality of data and information.
- Assists with inquiries from all levels of employees.
- Assists with testing HRIS system upgrades, changes, modifications, and enhancements.
- Provides complex HRIS support.
- Processes vacation carryover.
- Creates or updates benefit codes, earn codes and leave codes.
- Assists with providing technical support and HRIS training.
- Generates employee identification number for new university hires.
- Processes termination dates for ePAFs and employee benefit deductions in HRIS and state systems.
- Responsible for ensuring termination ePAFs and certification of leave time balances are forwarded to payroll.
- Participates in HRIS meetings, including technical or complex information.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range: $41,976.00 – $52,470.00
Education
Associate’s degree preferred.
Required Licensing/Certification
Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- HR Policies, procedures, and practices.
- Specialized practices, equipment and procedures.
- Banner and other job-related software systems.
- Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications.
Skill in:
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills preferred in both English and Spanish.
- Effective customer service.
- Problem-solving.
- Multitasking and time management.
- Analyzing documents.
- Ability to analyze data.
Ability to:
- Prepare detailed reports.
- Work independently.
- Communicate effectively.
Work Experience
Minimum one (1) to three (3) years job related experience.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Working/Environmental Conditions
- Limited standing and/or walking.
- Handling light weight objects.
- Using or carrying equipment.
- Stoop, bend or lift.
