Noida & Greater Noida schools closed till January 16 amid cold wave conditions

Due to the ongoing cold weather, the district administration of Noida and Greater Noida has taken the decision to suspend all educational activities for students from Nursery to Class 8 until January 16, 2024.
“In compliance with the instructions given by Gautam Buddh Nagar District Magistrate Maneesh Kumar Verma in view of the dense fog and extremely cold weather, all schools will observe holiday till January 16 for classes nursery to eight,” Basic Education Officer Rahul Panwar said in the order.
Additionally, the directive specifies that the schedule for students in Class 9 to 12 will be adjusted to run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM until January 20, 2024.
“The entire staff of the school will remain working on January 16. The order should be strictly followed,” he added
Over the past few days, the northern region of India has been gripped by dense fog and severe cold. Consequently, Chandigarh has decided to extend the winter break for students up to the 8th grade until January 20, 2024.

Meanwhile, the national capital experienced chilling temperatures, with the average minimum dropping to nearly 3 degrees Celsius on Sunday morning.
