In a recent development, the Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and nearby regions has decided to implement an 8-point action plan, following Stage-III of GRAP (Graded Response Action Plan), across the entire NCR immediately. This step is taken to avoid any further decline in the air quality of the area.
Stage-III restrictions of the GRAP involve shutting down operations of stone crushers, stopping all mining and related activities in the NCR, and imposing a strong prohibition on construction and demolition activities throughout the NCR, with some specific project categories exempted.
