At least 17 injured as bus skids off road in Udhampur | India News – Times of India

JAMMU: At least 17 persons suffered injuries when a passenger bus they were travelling in turned turtle and skidded off the road on Friday in J&K’s Udhampur district.
“A bus (JK14 G-4577) ferrying passengers from Udhampur to Khor Ghali Moungri this morning met with an accident when the driver lost control of the vehicle near Gulaban area of the district. Around 17 passengers have suffered minor injuries in the mishap,” a police official said.
Police and locals launched a rescue operation and evacuated all the trapped passengers. They were rushed to a nearby health facility in Pancheri from where six injured passengers were referred to district hospital Udhampur for specialised treatment.
The injured are all stable, the official added.
