AGRA: A BA first-year student, Luv Kumar, 20, who was allegedly kidnapped for a Rs 10 lakh ransom while he was on his way to college around 8am on Thursday, was found brutally murdered by his abductors a few hours later after his family approached the police for help.
The incident took place under Fatehpur Sikri police limits. The victim’s body was found stuffed in a partially burnt sack, around 5 km away from his house at around 2 pm.
Police said,“He was first killed and then his body was stuffed in a sack and later set on fire,” said a senior cop.
Meanwhile, ACP, Rajeev Sirohi, said, “Tracing the last location of the victim’s mobile phone, the body was spotted in a ditch along the Agra-Jaipur highway. The body has been sent for post-mortem.”
SHO (Fatehpur Sikri), Balwan Singh, added, “Two people have been detained and are being questioned. Postmortem report will reveal the exact cause of death.”
